BAPTISM GUIDELINES & INFORMATION

We are so pleased that you have decided to be water baptised. In order to make your special day run smoothly please read through the following information.

WHAT TO WEAR

On the day, we advise that you come dressed in the clothes in which you intend to be baptised. This would include shorts / swimmers, and a BLACK T-SHIRT that is non-see-through when wet. We believe in modesty and strongly recommend that you wear clothes appropriate to the occasion. Please bring a change of clothes to change into after you are water baptised.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Generally, baptisms will involve multiple people being baptised at the same time. We do NOT allow participants to make speeches or vary from the scheduled program, unless approved by the church leadership, well in advance of the day.

PRE-BAPTISM PREPARATION

We recommend the following steps to prepare to be baptised:

• Read through our baptism information to assist your understanding of the purpose of baptism and what will happen on the day.

• Complete the on-line baptism form.

• Ensure that you have the clothing that you wish to wear during the baptism, BLACK T-SHIRT, non-see-through, modest when wet clothes.

• Ensure that you have a set of dry clothes to change into after you are baptised.

• Once you have baptism date and time, invite your family and friends to attend the baptism.

PHOTOGRAPHS

There will be an opportunity during the service for your family to take photographs. Photographs taken by the Oasis media team and/or Pastors and/or church staff may be used on our webpage or other promotional materials.
