JESUS IS ALWAYS THE SAME
Hebrews 13:8 (NLT)
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
1 Corinthians 3:10-11
By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.
COMMENT
Sometimes life feels like it on shifting sand. The world is changing by the day. Countries, governments and world leaders rise and fall. Technology is advancing at an unprecedented rate, impacting and changing our society. The one thing that’s consistent in the world is change.
This scripture is a great reminder that living in a world that is constantly changing the only thing that is 100% stable is Jesus. If you know Jesus then you can be confident that the Jesus you know doesn’t change. Unlike people, he doesn’t change his mind, behave erratically or become unreliable.
Everything Jesus said, as recorded in the bible, are solid as a rock. His words are as relevant today as the day they were said. No doubt that’s why Jesus said, “anyone who hears these words and does them is like a wise man who built his house on a rock (Matthew 7:24).” Jesus, our solid Rock, stands strong no matter what storms we face. When we’re with Him, we find peace and confidence. Whatever comes our way, we can always count on His love and unwavering strength.
Be encouraged today. No matter how uncertain life feels, you can always trust Jesus. He's been with you through it all, and He always will be. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever!
