COMMENT
There is a profound shift that happens when we stop asking God to simply "rubber stamp" our plans and instead ask Him to reveal His pre-prepared assignments. In our independence, it is so easy to treat God like a life consultant rather than the King. Many of us feel like we are following God’s plan, yet we haven't fully surrendered the details of how that plan unfolds. We might agree to the direction, but we still try to manage the timing, the comfort, and the results. This partial surrender is exhausting because we are still carrying the weight of the outcome on our own shoulders. True maturity comes through the gut-honest realisation that we don’t actually own our lives or our futures…He does.
When the King of Kings becomes the Author of your story, the burden of comparison and the pressure to "climb the ladder" disappears. You no longer have to look sideways at the progress of others because you are focused on the specific race He has marked out for you. When you move from being "mostly surrendered" to fully yielded, you realize that since it is His plan, it is also His responsibility to see it through. While surrendering your future might feel like losing control, it is actually where you find ultimate freedom. Every task He gives you, no matter how small it may seem to the world, is infused with eternal significance because it was designed by the One who sits on the Throne.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE FULLY SURRENDER TO HIS PLAN FOR OUR LIVES
Authority over Validation: Since the King gave the order He is the only one you need to please. This removes the burden of seeking validation from people and gives you the spiritual authority to lead with boldness. You are no longer held back by the fear of man which allows God to move through you without any limits.
Freedom from Comparison: You stop measuring your success against others because you realise you are running a race designed only for you. By staying in your own lane you become much more effective in the specific area God has called you to impact.
Confidence in Every Task: You understand that the value of a job is linked to the One who gave it to you. Even the smallest task becomes a move of God because it is part of His eternal plan. You stop looking for big stages and start looking for where His power wants to flow through you today.
Rest that Releases Power: When you fully yield you stop carrying the heavy weight of the results. You realise that since it is His assignment His power is responsible for the outcome. This removes the stress of performance and allows the Holy Spirit to work through you with much greater impact.
Kingdom Clarity: You stop wasting energy on good ideas that are not God ideas. You become an expert at saying no to your own logic and yes to His specific will. This focus ensures that your time and energy make a massive deposit into the Kingdom rather than just staying busy.
THE PURPOSE TEST
Pick the number that best describes where you feel you’re at right now. Where ever you are pray about what might be your next step to move forward.
1 — Self-Driven: I am focused on my own goals and advancement. I rarely ask God if my current path is the one He intended for me.
2 — Scattered: I know I have a calling, but I am easily distracted by what others are doing. I pursue opportunities based on interest rather than prayerful conviction.
3 — Seeking: I am actively trying to understand God's specific calling for my life. I am learning to say "no" to good things so I can say "yes" to the God-things.
4 — Surrendered Pursuit: My life is laid down for His specific assignment. I am not seeking my own platform but faithfully pursuing the race He has marked out for me, trusting His timing for promotion or change.
MAIN QUESTIONS
(Self Reflection)
Let’s Talk in the Chat
(on the Boot Camp group in Church Center)
One of the best parts of this journey is that we aren’t doing it alone. We’d love for our chat to be a place of real connection. As you go through each day, please jump in and share:
Self-Reflection: What did the "test" reveal to you today?
God’s Voice: What is one specific thing you feel the Holy Spirit is whispering to your heart?
The Wins: The Wins: Did you do one of the action points? Tell us about it!
His Assignments: How do you think things may change in your life if you diligently sought out His assignments and were fully surrendered to His plan for your life?
Please Read:
Don't worry about sounding 'spiritual' The most encouraging thing you can share is your honest process.
This is a self-reflection about what God is speaking directly to you about in YOUR life.
Words like “I” and “Me” are encouraged, “we” and “us” less so.
ACTION POINTS
1. The "No" List: Identify one "good" activity that is distracting you from God's work and politely decline it.
2. Consult the Master: Before making plans for next week, sit with a blank page and ask God for His priorities first.
3. Serve Silently: Do one kind thing this week that no one will ever know about, just for God to see.
PERSONAL PRAYER STARTER
"God, I give You my plans and my dreams. If I’m heading the wrong way, please stop me. I want Your assignment more than my own success. Guide my steps today. Amen."
14 DAYS OF PRAYER (Corporate Prayer)
We are praying for PRIMARY AGED CHILDREN.
Possible prayer areas: That they encounter God and develop a strong foundation in His word.
