PART 2: THE SECRET PLACE (Days 8–13)

Welcome to the next stage. In the first phase, we put Jesus on the throne. Now, we move into the quiet corners of your walk. Maturity isn't just about public decisions, it’s about what happens in the quiet moments. Over the next few days, we will explore how you process pain, how you spend your time, and how you handle past wounds. Let’s allow the Spirit to go deep so our outward life matches our inward reality.

— DAY 8 —

MONDAY 9 February, 2026

THE TIME INVESTMENT

SCRIPTURE PASSAGES

Ephesians 5:15-16
"Look carefully then how you walk... making the best use of the time..."

Matthew 6:33
"But seek first the kingdom of God... and all these things will be added to you."

COMMENT

When we look at how we spend our hours, we see a beautiful reflection of what we value most. It’s so easy to find ourselves giving God our leftovers. That tired moment at the very end of a long day while spending our best energy on things that don't truly fill us. However, there is such a refreshing perspective found in spiritual maturity. Realizing that our time isn't just something to be spent, but a precious seed to be planted for God’s Kingdom.

Growing in Christ is a joyful journey from being self centered with our schedule to becoming strategic builders of something eternal. There is incredible power in being purposeful with our time, as it shifts us from merely reacting to the world to actively participating in God's plan. This doesn’t mean we lose the ability to rest or have fun. Rather, it means we begin to see every hour as a purposeful gift from the Father. There is a wonderful sense of Holy Urgency that comes when we realize that our time is an opportunity to love others and serve the King. When we align our day with His heart, even the most ordinary moments are transformed into something that lasts forever.

THE TIME STEWARDSHIP TEST
Pick the number that best describes where you feel you’re at right now. Where ever you are pray about what might be your next step to move forward.

  1. Reactive: I spend my time based on whatever feels most urgent or whatever entertainment is closest at hand. I rarely think about my schedule in light of God’s plan.

  2. Leftover Devotion: I try to fit God in, but He usually gets the tired moments at the end of my day. I often feel like I don't have enough time for the things that matter.

  3. Intentional Builder: I am starting to schedule my time with God and others as a priority. I am becoming more aware of how I use my free hours.

  4. Strategic Steward: I view my entire day as belonging to the Lord. I am purposeful with my work, my rest, and my service, always looking for the eternal opportunity in every hour.

MAIN QUESTIONS
(Self Reflection)

Let’s Talk in the Chat
(on the Boot Camp group in Planning Center)

One of the best parts of this journey is that we aren’t doing it alone. We’d love for our chat to be a place of real connection. As you go through each day, please jump in and share:

  1. God’s Voice: What is one specific thing you feel the Holy Spirit is whispering to your heart?

  2. Self-Reflection: What did the "test" reveal to you today?

  3. The Wins: Did you do one of the action points? Tell us about it!

  4. Testimony: Share a testimony of a time when you gave God your time, what happened?

Please Read:
Don't worry about sounding 'spiritual' The most encouraging thing you can share is your honest process. This is a self-reflection about what God is speaking directly to you about in YOUR life. Words like “I” and “Me” are encouraged, “we” and “us” less so.

ACTION POINTS

  1. The Time Audit: Look at your phone's screen time report for the last week. Ask God to show you where you can trade a leftover moment for a purposeful one.

  2. The First Fruits: Commit to giving God the very best part of your day tomorrow, whether that is early morning or a focused lunch break.

  3. The Eternal Hour: Identify one hour this week to dedicate entirely to someone else’s needs or a Kingdom project.

PERSONAL PRAYER STARTER
"Lord, thank You for the gift of today. I realise that my time belongs to You. Help me to be a wise and purposeful builder. I don't want to just spend my hours, I want to plant them. Teach me to value every moment as an opportunity to show Your love. Amen."

14 DAYS OF PRAYER (Corporate Prayer)
Today we are praying for our LOCAL GOVERNMENT LEADERS.
Possible prayer areas: Holy Spirit, we ask you to fill our city, state, and national political leaders with wisdom, understanding, discernment, and knowledge. Draw them to you and cause them to know and fulfil your purposes.
