GENERAL INFORMATION
From time to time, Oasis may transport people to and from out of town events in personal vehicles.
All driver’s MUST complete the following before transporting anyone in their vehicle:
1. Read through the Driver Guidelines & Accident Procedure (below)
2. Download and complete the Vehicle Checklist
3. Sign & date the Agreement contained in the Vehicle Checklist
4. Undertake a vehicle inspection with a pastor / leader ( contained in the Vehicle Checklist) and obtain their signature
5. Download, complete the Volunteer Driver Registration and return it to Oasis reception
DRIVER GUIDELINES
Drivers MUST abide by the following guidelines:
Under no circumstance is the speed limit to be exceeded
Driver to be stay alert & employ fatigue management processes
Driver to strictly follow all road rules
No use of mobile phone while driving
Safe driving to be exercised at all times
Absolutely no vehicular skylarking
Strict adherence to schedule unless advised by a Pastor/Leader regarding revised schedule
Clear communication between driver & other leaders
All passengers to wear seatbelts as provided at all times
In the case of a Youth or Kids outing: One leader to sit with driver at all times during travel.
Roll to be called at every departure.
ACCIDENT PROCEDURE
In the event of any accident:
1. Use first aid kit for any immediate injury
2. Call 000 for assistance from relevant emergency services
3. Everyone to remain together until appropriate transport can be arranged
4. Notify Oasis
5. Notify Parents
