Local, National & International

Local Causes

We are passionate about Rockhampton and its surrounds. We run a variety of local missions projects to reach out to our own community. These include the Shine program, Oasis Community Services and evangelistic outreaches and open meetings with guest ministers.

National Causes

Oasis seeks to assist and partner with people all across Australia. Currently, we provided regular support to the work of Teen Challenge in Toowoomba, Qld; missionaries Les and Sally Freeman in Borroloola, NT; and to ACC Missions to assist with national disaster relief.

Bob and Janine Mann are based in Jaipur, India, where the lead Helping Hands Jaipur Society. Oasis supports them in helping spread the Gospel throughout their city and in changing people’s lives. The Manns work with a dedicated team of locals from Kathputli Slum, where they recently undertook a major infrastructure project to deliver running water to a number of people’s homes.

Oasis has been partnered with missionary Bryan Webb for over 9 years. In Vanuatu, Jubilee Bible Col- lege, which is based in Espiritu Santo, trains locals with basic reading and writing skills, along with ministry leadership skills.

Our missions teams have assisted with a number of projects including the building of the school, completion of Pastor Dick Peter Joel’s house, and most recently, rebuilding work following Cyclone Pam.

In 2013, Oasis was blessed to play a part in launching the Shine program in Zimbabwe through our relationship with Pastor Cephas Mweyamweya, Senior Pastor of Christ’s Foundations Ministries.

Since that time, Ps. John has also been able to continue providing Pastor Cephas with leadership development for himself and his team.

Sri Lanka

In 2012, Oasis partnered with missionaries Peter and Robyn Patterson, who are involved in church planting and Bible training in various areas of Sri Lanka.

Both Peter and Robyn have a passion to make disciples and to train Church leaders to be effective in their ministries.
